 n.1

Here you are in a typical middle class farm house: the house of the farmer.

Who was u massaru? It was the mass, or the factor, a fundamental role in the management of the fields, which etymologically derives from the ancient Latin mansionarius, in turn linked to the mansa or mass, the agricultural possession of a landowner.

The farmer, therefore, managed the estate for his landowner and the work of agricultural laborers.

It was not a small or a poor house, but it consisted of four rooms: the entrance, where there is a canopy, some artifacts, work tools and units of measure; the kitchen, which preserves the stone fireplace, a masonry floor where various utensils are displayed: wooden spoons and colander, ceramic plates, terracotta pots, mustard and quince tiles and bread making tools; the room where the working cycle in the popular weaving is illustrated, with the presence of flax and hemp plants and of all the tools to get to the finished product: gram, thistle, spatula, bobbin, spindle, spinning wheel, reel, warping machine, frame , plants and fruits used for yarn dyeing; then follows the bedroom with the cradle suspended above the bed, toys, the trunk with the kit brought in dowry by the bride, artifacts made with the frame, devout images, old photos, little wax doll
